Bend Self Defense was created to give you firearm training classes in a comfortable and non-intimidating atmosphere. We feel that you should be given an environment where you can learn, regardless of your previous experience with firearms. Whether you are a recreational shooter or needing the gun for self defense, you will feel more confident as you obtain the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary to operate a handgun safely .
We offer classes that start with establishing basic skill levels. From that foundation, you can progress through mastery of your chosen gun with our Basic Pistol and Personal Protection In The Home Classes. Some classes offer live fire exercises where you can further your confidence in your safe handling of a gun. Small class size is one way we can help you to gain as much as you can from each of our classes.
Louie is a Certified NRA Instructor (#174251280) and a Utah Concealed Firearm Instructor (I102328) based in Bend, Oregon. We offer firearms training classes throughout Central Oregon. Classes in locations in Texas and California to be offered soon.
With great privilege comes great responsibility. Training yourself to use a firearm safely is the best way to protect our Second Amendment Rights. Whether you have been around guns your entire life or you are just exploring an interest in guns, we will help you gain the confidence that you need.
